The Matthew is an ideal place to start your exploration of Bristol’s harbourside. It is one of the first maritime attractions you will see as you walk from the Centre along the quayside.

The original Matthew is one of our oldest ‘living heritage’ stories. The Matthew that you see in Bristol today is a modern reconstruction of the original Matthew that John Cabot sailed to Newfoundland in 1497.
