St Werburghs City Farm is a small charity. We welcome 60,000 visitors each year, and provide a nugmber of vital community services for over 3,500 people facing disadvantage of all ages and backgrounds.
One of our aims is to better connect people with the story of their food, from farm gate to plate. We also support disadvantaged members of our community to learn, grow and thrive, whether it be providing placements for adults with learning disabilities to gain skills in organic gardening, helping a young person at risk of exclusion finish their education or supporting disadvantaged adults to gain in skills and confidence.
Our smallholding is home to a range of livestock including sheep, goats and pigs which are bred for meat, ducks and chickens for their eggs.
The Farm is situated opposite the award-winning City Farm Cafe, adventure playground and community building.

Picnic benches can be found in our top paddock on the allotments above the Café. Food and drinks are not allowed on the smallholding with the animals. Our award-winning Farm Café has a lovely range of dishes and refreshments, many of which use ingredients sourced from the farm or allotments.
Adventure playground
We have a great little adventure playground, built by the Green Play Project that incorporates cargo netting, a secret tunnel, climbing frames and hide out shelters. The adventure playground is right next to the Farm Café.
Learn
We deliver educational activities for primary school children (aged 4 to 11 years old) and we support adults with learning disabilities in accredited and therapeutic training opportunities. We also offer courses, workshops and placements or farm experiences to the public. Our outdoor education encompasses Forest school sessions, curriculum linked school visits and outreach whilst our supported training encompasses both animal care and horticultural training.
