PLAN YOUR DAY
Gough’s Cave
This is our largest show cave so make sure you really take your time exploring; there are beautiful rock formations and stunning features wherever you look. If you listen to the complete audio tour whilst walking through this cave’s mysterious caverns and chambers, it should take you around 45 minutes. Though it is possible to do it in less time if you aren’t listening to the guide and just want to soak up the splendour and history of your surroundings.
Dreamhunters at Cox’s Cave
A different chapter of the story of early man will be revealed in each of Cox’s Cave’s chambers, the full multi-media experience should last around 35 minutes. However, only 10 people can be in each chamber at any one time so you may have a short wait at the start of the experience. Cox’s Cave is further down the Gorge, so why not do this first? Then you can head up Jacob’s Ladder for the Clifftop Walk and Lookout Tower.
Jacob’s Ladder
This really depends on how fit you are and how hard you want to work! You could climb the 274 steps of Jacobs Ladder in 10 mins but those who want to take it at a slightly slower pace and make the most of the view should allow around 30 mins.
Cliff-top Walk
If you want to enjoy the full three mile route you should probably leave around 90 minutes to do this. After all you never know what amazing native flora and fauna you might encounter in this rich habitat. However, you could always just go for a shorter stroll and turn back when you’re ready.
Museum of Prehistory
Discover the amazing story of how our ancestors survived the Ice Age. There’s lots of fascinating and thought-provoking exhibits. If you want to read all the interesting information available you should probably allow 30 minutes to complete the museum.
Rocksport
Planning to go caving or rock climbing? You will need 90 minutes for each activity and make sure you ring our team to book in advance.
