Ryedale Vineyards is a family business owned and run by us at Westow just outside of Malton, North Yorkshire at the foot of the North Yorkshire Wolds.

The vineyard was planted in 2006 with a second site at Howsham established in 2008. We are currently the most northerly commercial vineyard in Britain. We produce delicious wines that have won awards annually since our wines were first introduced. We produce red, white, rosé and sparkling wines plus cider and apple juice. The vineyard farmhouse is also a small B&B.

Our vines are grown using a low spray approach, our farming methods have a low impact on the countryside, all our pruning and harvesting is carried out by hand.

We also have orchards on two sites which include heritage varieties such as Howgate Wonder, Acklam Russet and Catshead which we use to produce our cider and apple juice. It is a perfect spot to have a picnic if you are staying with us.

Events
Ryedale Vineyards at the foot of the North Yorkshire Wolds is a tranquil, secluded site perfect for a magical celebration, party or wedding. Our meadow at the rear of the vineyard has a large area perfect for marquees or teepees.

In addition to the meadow is a beautiful, natural woodland area, complete with bluebells, damson trees, wild garlic and a natural wild pond. The vineyard, vines and our orchards provide amazing photographic opportunities.

We have a marquee available to hire for 30 to 60 seated guests from £15 per person based on 60 people and even have a restored fully stocked horsebox bar for you to hire.

Tour & Tasting Experience
Ryedale Vineyards offer an informal and informative tour and wine tasting which allows visitors to look around the vineyard and winery and sample our wines.
