Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, the Amelia Trust Farm is a countryside sanctuary for all to enjoy. As a registered charity supporting vulnerable people, we deliver the GROW programme for young people who are struggling in mainstream education.
We also extend our caring and nurturing environment to adults with learning disabilities and we are open to the general public throughout the year. With woodland walks, animals to see, play areas and a café, there is plenty to do and enjoy.
We have several events on throughout the year, and don’t forget to sign up to our newsletter to keep up to date with our news!
What we have to offer:
Our animals: Here at the farm we are home to over 20 wonderful species, little and large, from our chatty guinea pigs to our curious donkeys.
We are a registered charity care farm as well as being a donkey sanctuary. We are devoted to caring for our animals and every effort goes into ensuring the highest standard of welfare and care is given. We pride ourselves on educating our service users and the public about the local wildlife and nature, animal welfare and wellbeing and the rewards of caring for animals.

Spiritual place: We welcome everyone to the Farm. For some people, Amelia Trust Farm is a special place for reflection and a haven of peace.
We have a Prayer Labyrinth at the Farm where groups or individuals can walk and pray and a Celtic Cross which was dedicated as a symbol of God’s presence on the Farm and opened by HRH Prince of Wales in 1997.
Amelia Trust Farm was set up with the support of the Methodist Church in Wales and it is a prime example of service to the community and caring for vulnerable and disadvantaged people. The Farm’s Chaplain is a Methodist Minister whose role it is to support the staff, volunteers and service users of the Farm, and to reflect the rich Christian heritage of The Methodist Church at the Farm through prayer, quiet days and various services throughout the year – for example, at Christmas and Harvest-time. Members of the Methodist Church are also active as trustees and volunteers at the Farm.
