Our History
At the time of opening 20 years ago, we were the largest aquarium in the country, and till this day, we remain the largest in North West England.
Our Exhibits
Nowadays, you can view Europe’s largest collection of sharks through our captivating 71-metre underwater tunnel – you can even swim with them! That’s right, we offer shark-dive experiences for swimmers of various levels and ages.
We’re also home to over 100 living displays and thousands of marine creatures from around the world, so you’re bound to find something fun for the whole family!
Our Talks
Are you a school teacher looking for the perfect day-out for your pupils? Then we have some great news for you: you can now book a Primary National Curriculum-friendly talk or classroom session for your next school visit!
Don’t worry if you’re not a teacher, we have daily talks and feed shows throughout the day in the Aqua theatre!
